Family Camp

Family Camp

Family camp is one of the main outreach programmes of the Tamil Uniting Church Congregation.

It was originally initiated by our former minister Rev. S.Manopavan in 2004, and has become an annual event enjoyed by all participants. The camp’s focus is spiritual renewal and revival. It also gives the opportunity for interaction and relaxation.

Guest speakers have been invited every year and activities organised for children. Young adults have been encouraged to lead sessions.

We are grateful to the following for their leadership in spiritual sessions in the past:

2012 – Rev. Rajitha Perera and his wife Maheshini: discussion from the Book of Ruth

2013 – Rev. Anandarajah for Presentation on ‘Discipleship’

2014 – Pastor Chris Grace and Pastor Erika Grace on ‘Is your home built on rock’ and ‘God’s plan for submission’

2015 – Pastor Inpa Eliezer and Vana Eliezer: ‘Walking with Peter in his ups and downs’

2016 – Pastor Isiah: Presented the Time lines and Daniels’ prophesies combining all 66 books of the Bible and touched based the Book of Revelation

2017 – Rev. Michael Prabharan for discussion on ‘passing on our spiritual legacy’ based on 2 Timothy 2

The Camp’s most popular program, exquisitely formulated by Prajeevan Ariaratnam, is the Trivia Night including Bible Quiz which is considered to be of a High Standard.
